Maintaining Slovak language, traditions and culture for our children

The Slovak School of Perth offers Slovak language lessons for children from 3 to 12 years old at two levels: preschool and elementary school.

Teaching is aimed at developing receptive and productive speaking skills in the Slovak language. Part of the lessons is getting to know Slovak folklore and traditions

The decision about accepting/not accepting a child to Czech school depends on child’s independence and self-care habits. The decision is solely up to the teacher after the child’s trial lesson.

  • 11th May Mother’s Day – program and production of a gift for mothers
  • 1st June Children’s Day – trip to the Adventure Park and the traffic playground
  • 29th June  Screening of a fairy tale and making dolls

Children who do not attend the Slovak School can also register for themed events.  Admission to Children’s Day is free, other events are $20.
