Czech School Perth has been a great option since 2009 for Czech and bilingual families living in Perth, Western Australia. Parents and families who want to maintain and develop the Czech language and traditions in their children have a school .

The aim of our school is to educate and raise a young generation of Czech-speaking students who are growing up here in Perth. Students at our school not only learn the language but connect with Czech traditions, customs and culture. Thanks to qualified Czech teachers and modern educational methods, teaching is both high-quality and fun.

In addition to regular teaching, the school offers children’s thematic workshops, organizes cultural performances, and hosts a variety of extracurricular activities.

The decision about accepting/not accepting a child to Czech school depends on child’s independence and self-care habits. The decision is solely up to the teacher after the child’s trial lesson.

Offered Programs

Preschoolers (3-5 years old)Teaching Czech language with elements of dramatic education combined with music, art education, and science. The focus is on developing speech, pronunciation, and vocabulary, using elements and rhythm in songs and rhymes. Emphasis is placed on daily habits, self-care, healthy living, and hygiene.

Beginning readers (5-7 years old)

Teaching Czech language using the genetic method for the first stage of primary school in the Czech Republic. Introduction to reading and writing according to the genetic method. Teaching is led according to the program of the Good Start method and includes many elements of dramatic education. Students develop their vocabulary, pronunciation, and understanding and begin reading and writing. The program includes thematically focused education and dramatization.

Readers (7-12 years old)

Teaching Czech language with an emphasis on reading, writing, vocabulary development, and comprehension. A specially prepared program helps in developing vocabulary and understanding. Each student works with a textbook. Teaching includes working with texts and literature, realities and traditions, and is complemented by thematically focused education and dramatization. First grade is regularly included. An additional program is prepared for the most advanced readers.
